I’m Asmita — the founder of LagnaSaathi, but before anything else, I’m a sister and a daughter who deeply values our culture, traditions, and the way our families come together to build lifelong bonds through marriage.
The idea for LagnaSaathi was born not in a boardroom — but at home, during a very real experience of searching for the perfect partner for my younger sisters. Like many families, we turned to community-led Facebook groups, created biodatas, and posted our intentions with hope.
Within hours, my phone was flooded — mostly with WhatsApp messages from parents, aunties, uncles. Genuine families reaching out, hoping to begin the journey. But what followed was emotionally draining: back-and-forth chats, exchanging biodatas, verifying kundli compatibility, waiting for replies on both ends, and then — sometimes — a respectful “no.” Sometimes silence.
As a family, you’re pouring your heart into these conversations — only to realize there’s no structure, no privacy, and certainly no dignity in having to keep initiating interest over and over.
And that’s when it struck me:
What if there was a platform that made this entire journey easier — respectful, efficient, and rooted in the values we hold dear?
LagnaSaathi is that vision.
A modern matchmaking app designed for our Gujarati community — where parents can manage profiles, candidates feel empowered, and matches are guided by both hearts and horoscopes.
We’re starting small — focused on select Gujarati communities, with limited last names — because we believe trust grows in safe, familiar spaces. And as our community grows, so will our features, reach, and families connected through meaningful matches.
We’ve included community filters, biodata-style clarity, kundli-based compatibility, and the option to only connect when there’s alignment — so no one has to reach out blindly anymore.
Because everyone deserves to feel dignified in this journey — and hopeful.
